Sainsburys Active Kids 2011 Vouchers

We are now collecting Sainsburys Active Kids 2011 vouchers. The box is on the table by the signing-in sheet for you and your child to put the vouchers into. Active Kids is all about inspiring kids to lead healthier lifestyles. Sainsburys have come up with loads of experiences and some brilliant new equipment for pre-schools and schools to try this year, so lets make sure that our setting gets the most out of the scheme by collecting as many vouchers as we can!

Dates for your diaries: February – April 2011

FEBRUARY – 18th of February 2011 AM- Collection of Unwanted Items of Clothing
Children are forever growing out of clothes and sometimes there is no one else to pass them on to. We can help recycle all your old clothes and shoes and in turn help raise money for our pre-school. Here’s how, its very easy… We have arranged for the Fire Fighters Charity to come to pre-school and collect and then recycle your unwanted clothes and shoes. This will take place on Friday 18th of February 2011. The bags then get weighed and pre-school will get a cheque, so please help us raise as much money as possible and have a good clear out! Use bin liners or plastic bags; just remember to drop your full bags off on the morning of Friday, 18th of February.

MARCH – Making Placemats for Mother’s Day
Children will be making ‘placemats’ with their handprints and a poem called ‘Sticky Grubby Me’. They will make an ideal gift for Mother’s Day and they will be on sale at pre-school (£2.50 each) after the half term. Continue reading
