AUTUMN 2011 Transition Sessions to the Bliss School

Nether Heyford Pre-school will be offering transition sessions in September – October 2011 for the children who are starting the reception class at Bliss Charity Primary School this autumn.

The aim of our transition sessions is to provide support and childcare for children whilst they are attending school part-time during the first term. The children attending afternoon session at Bliss can use the Pre-school during the mornings (Monday to Friday). For those attending morning sessions at Bliss, the Pre-school will be open during the afternoons on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Children benefit by being able to get used to attending a full day’s schooling whilst spending part of their day in a familiar setting.

We arrange safe transfer between school and pre-school for your child so there’s no need to worry you simply drop your child at school or pre-school in the morning and collect them from pre-school or school in the afternoon depending on which school sessions your child is allocated.

All transition sessions must be booked in advance. Fees for the sessions are charged at our normal rate of £3.70 per hour and there is a nominal fee for the school transfers of 50p per day.

If your child does not currently attend our pre-school but you are interested in using this service in September – October 2011, please get in touch with us and we will add your child’s name to our ‘Transition sessions to the Bliss school’ list.

We have regular Committee meetings where various pre-school issues are discussed. Autumn 2011 Transition Sessions to the Bliss Charity School

We will be offering transition sessions in September – October for the pre-school children starting Bliss school this autumn. As you might already know, during the first term of the reception class your child will be attending reduced sessions at the Bliss school, they either do mornings or afternoons only. The school will advise you nearer the time which sessions your child will be attending. The children attending afternoon session at Bliss can use the Pre-school during the mornings (Monday to Friday).
For those attending morning sessions at Bliss, the Pre-school will be open during the afternoons on a Monday, Thursday and Friday. We will also operate a pick up and drop off scheme between the Pre-school and the School. This gets your child used to doing a full schooling day, gives your child some familiarity and helps you out with childcare. We introduced these sessions last year and received many positive comments from the parents who found this service invaluable. If your child does not currently attend our pre-school but you are interested in using this service in September – October please get in touch with us by e-mail and we will add your child’s name to our ‘Transition sessions to the Bliss school’ list.

Further details regarding the session’s length and the costs involved will follow shortly so watch this space…

Pre-school Annual Sports Day – Thursday, 7 July 2011

For those children that do not normally attend the setting on a Thursday, they must remain your responsibility at all times. Please dress your child in appropriate comfortable clothing and trainers.
